Servos jumping up and down
One of my Nanos has developed a strange behavior: when I change the pitch, the servos "jump" instead of moving smoothly. There are 11 jumps between zero and full throttle. Each jump is about 1 or 2 mm. Some are up, some are down. What would cause this issue?
I don't think it is an issue with the servos because all 3 servos jump in the exact same way. Also, I thought it was an issue with the the Tx (DX6) setup, so I tried creating a new model. But it will not bind to the new model. |

I would start by checking your monitor screen on your radio to see if the pots are working properly.

A damaged main shaft can also cause this. The swash does not slide smoothly up and down

A little oil on the main shaft may possibly fix this.

Thanks for all the info. I think it is a Main Board issue so I sent it to Mega's.

Hi Archmage,
Thanks for the advice. And thank you so much for your training system! It served me well. I don't think it was the servos because they all moved the exact same amount at the same time. I have had twitchy servos before and this was a different symptom. Anyway, I sent it to Mega's and got it back already. Still haven't tested it... |

(not happy it was the board, just happy you found the problem)

I don't mind...I send one to Mega's every two months. It's not expensive and much better than buying a new Heli.
FWIW, after a year and a half I've finally gotten to the point where I'm crashing less and less. So that means spending much less money. |
