Default Castle 160HV issues

Hi guys having a throttle calibration issue.
I was planning to use vbar gov with the rpm out wire.
I set everything up and set the endpoints via vbar software waited for the beeps when lowering the slider on high and low all worked perfect.
However when I flick into idle up (flat 75%) it masivly overapeeds then drops down however if i go into idle up 2 (90% flat) the headspeed does not change.
Idle up one does not work at all at start (changed to 60% flat after initial calibration)
Then when i flick bck into it it is at a very low rpm.
I tried turning tge vbar gov off and ysing castle fixed endpoints and it automatically armed even with endpoints at 50 50 and throttle at 100%.
Nothing happens until half stick then it goes to 100% very quickly

Any help would be appreciated

What did you have the throttle set to in the Castle initially? Helicopter or External Gov?

Initially i had it set to external gov.
And set the endpoints in the vbar software, when that didnt work i went to fixed endpoints and turned gov off on vbar.
Still had the same issues.
I had a play around with the throttle curve and from 50-64% its at a very low headspeed like 1200, when it goes above 65 it goes up to 2000 then drops back down to 1850. Any increase in throttle curve does not change headspeed.
Coukd i have a faulty esc?

I would suggest trying helicopter in the Castle then...process of elimination.

IIRC that's what's I have my Castle 160 set on in my Chronos.

Does your vbar have soft start capability? If so maybe the airplane setting is the solution.

As a side note, a 50-64% throttle curve is very low without an active free-wheeling ESC.

70% or higher is normal/better to test with.

Just for reference what TX and RX are you using?

Did you calibrate the ESC with a linear throttle curve in the TX to start? 0-25-50-75-100?

Not a flat curve right?

Problem Solved!
Turns out it wasnt an esc issue. It was a radio and set up issue with the Vbar Neo.
All good now
