I bought the extreme metal gear holder at helidirect I hate how the hole on the plastic peg strips. Get the grips too if you don't want to tear apart the dfc one. The boom clamp up against the boom mount prevents the boom from moving. Never have a problem with it now.

I have the DFC Pro and the rudder servo is inside the frame not on the boom.

You don't have to put it on the boom. I did it so I could get the bec and wires and my beeper out of the way. but it makes life easier.

Dumb question here...

Wouldn't it be easier if Align simply design a TT gear that wouldn't break so easy?

Maybe KDE or Lynx ought to take a look at this, they would own that little market!

we can hope. but the belt drive I think is a more durable setup. less moving parts no chance of stripping a gear. works as well. I just wish they made the belt tailbox so it uses the tt version of the tail slider.
so far few things have been made for the 250 so I would not hold your breath.

You might find this thread interesting, it details fitting the DFC tail to an SE, keeping the belt
What we found can no doubt be used when fitting a belt on a DFC and still keep the DFC tail

In summary there were 2 methods
- I used the DFC tail shaft (longer) with an SE pulley pushed on it
- QueadlunnRau, used the Alu tail mount from an SE, made some mods, allowing the use of a stock tail shaft

Post 11 onwards

I can't believe that I haven't flown it since, lack of time means that it's either been micro helis or no flying at all

The kevlar belts are great. They last forever.

I used the plastic pulley, but only because that's what I had

Have you tried heat on the ally pulley? it might help to sweat it on
