i wondered about that vid , I know OTS has the Xnova 50xx, but is the 200 A really needed on the scorp ? A wise the Scorp isn't near the peak power. I intressted because I have still my commander 14S which needs a motor and the scrop is an option.

You def don't need a 200A. That's just the only HV Scorpion Tribunus that's shipping. Jesse flys all Scorpion. I still have an older Scorpion 160 on mine with a 500xx Tareq motor. Has been great. But no esc telemetry.

Note the 200A Tribunus is practically the same weight as a 130 HW. And drives full esc telemetry to Brain2.

You can always add your own if you want. Just takes a resistor to charge up the ESC caps before plugging it in.

Or one of the connectors with built-in resistors (e.g. AS150, XT90).

True - that esc works so well probably worth the extra baggage.

Speaking of esc's - yesterday after work did a few flights, drew a lot of attention at the 2 speed runs I did per flight on my 700 thunder with HW130. I had myself in disbelief too !! That little 130 and that scorp 4525 pull like freight trains man it sounded like true speed runs you see the pros do, but toned way back. So it built speed and sung a song weeeeeeeeee as it went zinging past with no sag at all.

Could you imagine that scorpion 200 and a big power system and real speed blades and someone that knows what they're doing

Yes, it really is an impressive thing to see. I was at the last 2 Rchn funflys so got to see Justin pucci's diabolo s in action. I was going to compete with my max 770 in the speed cup but the competition was canceled due to rain. I was still able to get some runs in the day before. 780 blades, 4535, 2200 rpm, 14 pitch. Not sure how fast I went but it was fast enough for my canopy to collapse down onto the motor. I'll be running an evo setup next time. Tougher and more aerodynamic.

If I can get my P Max 780 there for RCHN 5 it would be fun to compete against you. We have a very similar setup. Where you have the Xnova I have a comparable Scorpion. Should be fun.

This is what I have in my cart. I added a few additional items along with the kit. Anything else I should be ordering?

I am still deciding whether to use the stock Brain2 or one of my spare Spirit Pro's. I use a Mac computer, and I would have to fire up Parallels every time I want to make adjustments to the Brain. I know I can make the adjustments via the Jeti radio, but I rather use the large color computer display. Maybe if the kit included the BT Brain2, the decision would be easier. I have to think about it some more.

If you own an iOS or Android device and you have a BT interface to the Brain2, you can do full setup of the Brain2 from that device. You can add the MSH BT adapter to the non-BT Brain2.

I am not crazy about the idea of adding a separate BT module. I like the clean look of the all-in-one-box integrated BT.

I mount mine on the inside of the right frame side, above the gyro platform. You can hardly notice it.

There is also an optional BT module that can be moved model to model that works with iOS. But if you have Jeti, really a PC is needed only for initial setup.

I cross posted - but it can be plugged and not left on the model. And only needed for initial setup, and then Jeti does it all.

So you need to do the Brain 2 setup on a computer? You cant just use the Jeti?

Right. The wizard for setup is on laptop or mobile device. Jeti has the full tuning, log setup, vibration and logging setup. But the wizard is not there.

Out of the box the brain is not configured for ExBus. So there is a need to use PC or a mobile app for initial config.

Thanks. Good to know. I wonder if the Vortex is like that too. I did my set ups via DataPod just out of habit.

Sorry for the derail.
