Exclamation Servo Gear Replacement / Rebuild

So I crashed my Trex 450 and stripped elevator servo. Ordered the gears, placed gears so the large one with the "stop" pin was centered towards outside of frame and buttoned it up. installed it in helicopter without reconnecting power supply. while installing it, I discovered slight tight spots in other 2 cyclic servos so ordered 2 more sets of gears.

MY QUESTION IS THIS ::::

while dismantling the servo, the drive gear gets turned. Do I, or SHOULD I plug servo into a spare bec so it can re-center itself before I stack new gears and close it up??? I know there's one gear with a physical STOP pin to keep gears from turning continuously and I do not want servo to power on and go straight into a mechanical bind and be ruined.

I'd suggest Youtube. Search Servo repair or servo gear.

I'm sure you will find what your looking for. Sorry cant be of more help.

so I tested plugging servo in without gears installed and it just keeps turning. Turns out there's a magnet in the base of the output gear that controls the centering. question answered.
