Fastest charge rate for Pulse 3s 860mah (for Oxy2)
Since these packs are cheap, I want to charge as fast as possible.
Any idea if there is any risk in charging faster than maximum recommended rate of 5C (4.3A)? If I charge at 10C, can the pack catch fire? Or will it just shorten the life of the battery? Thank you |

5C is only a 12 minute charge, so what is the big hurry? They are cheap packs, so just get a few of them with a parallel charging cable so you can charge multiple packs at a time at the proper rate rather than risk causing a fire. And yes, even the 5C charge is harder on the packs and will wear them faster, so 10C will likely kill them in short order if it doesn't kill your house from the fire first

3C is probably best... 15 mins or so.. and those little bitty packs have a high resistance so anything over 3C the charge is going to stop prematurely.

My philosophy is to arrive at the field or indoor event with enough packs to fly continuously if I wish while charging at a max rate of 2C...
2C is roughly 30 minutes...so 6-8 packs per model is enough... I've never been caught waiting for a pack to charge and nothing to do Better for the packs...better for the property...better overall |
