Hex screw size question/problem, tail assembly
Picked up a used dominator for a sweet price. Trying to change out the bent tail shaft but am finding tiny hex screws, smaller than the 1.5 I'm used to. Anyone know the size driver I need before I order? I'm tempted to buy a whole new tail assembly since this one seems to have been loc-tited with JB Weld
Thanks in advance, Dave Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk |

Hex screw size question/problem, tail assembly
1.3mm
Align started including the hex wrench in the new 470 kits. I would buy a set of MIPs if you're looking for a quality set of drivers. Last edited by CrashNburn420; 03-28-2017 at 10:30 PM.. |

Perfect! Thank you, that's what I needed to know. Yes, MIPs it is. I've heard nothing but good things about those drivers.

It's the same size for the 450L.

Tarot makes a 1 piece integrated tail unit for the 450's that is only $14.

why are they still using horrible 1.3mm hex screws on a 450 size heli!!!
if there scews that are well loctited, heat them up good to release the loctite first otherwise you can strip them really easily. also if your hex driver has the edges rounded off, grind it down so you have fresh edges |

this has worked wonders for me on my 250.
Definatly do this on a used heli. freshen up your hex driver (wet n dry works fine usually unless you have to take a fair omount of metal away) and give the screw a good heat from either a soldering iron or if you arnt in risk of damaging anything nearby a small blotorch. |
