Programmable channel 6?

I'm trying to program the unused sixth channel on my Blade 230 S receiver to be used to control a small on-board camera. (not FPV, just a small drone camera. Sure, it's impractical, but it's just an experiment )

According to the manual, it requires a 3-way switch (I want to use switch G), and -100% will take a picture, while +100% will start a video, so the 0 position will naturally be in the middle of the two other modes. I've heard, however, that the open channel six can be accessed if said model is set to model type=airplane, but I'm not entirely sure.......

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!
