No, thunder tiger are not dropping their 90 Nitro. They are out of stock at the moment but are in the process of producing another batch to meet the current market demands.
There are some slight changes being made to the G4 so the modified kits will then be on the market. Maybe that is why they are saying the G4 is being discontinued, the new one may be called something else. The changers are not drastic and parts for the current G4 will still be available.

The results of the first tests with the GT15 have been showing that is correct. Where that engine does good is spinning blades around 640mm.

There is a lot of information on that engine in the gasser sub topic area. There are also some threads where people have put it in different glow kits.

They should make an GT15 mod for the X50.

Maybe OS is cooking a GT30 for the new 90-class?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBGNB&P=7

Maybe it should read temporarily unavailable?

Or do you get flybar and flybarless hardware out of the same kit now?

Steve ... thanks for the reply from someone who should know for sure!
Is there a new version coming or is the website that shows it discontinued just wrong?

Thanks again!

There is no "new" Raptor 90 nitro coming. They are just temporary out of stock. Again, some small changes are happening to the model but more so to do with streamlining of the manufacturing process. Trying to make as many parts the same through all the models as possible. This should reduce the cost of the kits and parts.

For instance, if they can use the same frames on the E720, E820, and G4 nitro then only one template is needed. Again, if they all use the same bell cranks. You will notice the E820 has a different design here to allow for larger motors. No reason why they can't be used on the other model as well. . Ect.. Ect..

Thats what I'm interested in seeing. The GT 15 makes decent power in a 50 or 600 size bird.

I don't like that, a heli need to be purposely built specific to size. a 600 needs to look different from a 700 and an 800 different to a 700, i don't like this one part fits all thing, for it feels like you basically end up with a stretched heli, going bigger, using the same parts.

Anyway i at least i hope they don't lose their bulky tailboom, and their overall look, TT has always made the best looking helicopters.

i really dislike those mosquito sized booms on other heli's too.

Subscribing for more info. I'm looking for another 90 nitro and the quality of the G4 looks to be on par with my Rave ENV. I hope to hear some info on the successor soon, I'm ready to get building!
