I was going to say if he was using the HobbyWing they are known for a tail kick. They are in the middle of sorting it out but I haven't heard anything with the Castles doing it.

Chrome Stripes
My old boom stripes looked a little tired so it was time for an upgrade.
Found some chrome looking tape so I experimented with it's use. It looks good on the model but I found out the width I was using prevented it from being used in any shape except perfectly straight. It would pucker around the slightest bend so straight it is. Used it on the tail boom, elevator and landing gear with a silver border. It adds a little bling to the model. I like the way it looks so I'll keep it in place until I dream up another scheme. ...and another variation on the skids... Yes, I did remove the gear stiffeners. I try to never land that hard and if I do I deserve to break a gear leg. ...which I have done. The stiffeners appear to be 1100 aluminum so they really don't have much strength to them. 1100 aluminum has no spring back ability so when bent they stay bent until they are bent back by another force, they have no flexibility at all. Also saves 100 grams of weight with them removed. Hope everyone has a great Holiday. I hate this time of year because participation on Heli Freak goes way down...there must be a lot of hibernating RC pilots out there.

Awesome photos Chad, looks like a sweet place to fly helicopters with the dedicated helipad.
Glad you had some great flights, its an exhilaration every time you fly it isn't it. I am finally on the back side of a lot of work that ran over into my flying time. Finally got the chance to use my cargo hook in flight, dropped a few sky divers simultaneously from a couple hundred feet up, worked perfectly. After the drop, my wife asked me "how old are you", I responded with "I guess almost 4". She said that's how old she felt doing this too and she liked it so we are both going to work together on creating and editing video utilizing the cargo hook. The little kid next door who is 2 and a half years old thought it was great. He had no concept of sky divers and had never seen such a thing before, he had one big smile watching the action. We'll be working on it, but it will take some time to get all the shots and edit them into something fun to watch. Should be fun and entertaining!

Velos Rotor Up Close at 1850
New version of my video...working on my editing skills, hope you like it.
Changes were to the intro, text graphic, color enhancements and added some of my favorite stills. For those who may like something a little different here is a video I created looking at the Velos 880 rotor spinning at 1850 RPM from different angles. Almost no flying, just that awesome 6 foot disk. I am just getting back into editing video so I will be doing a lot of movie making with the Velos as my subject. I will be focusing in on my cargo hook and other possible movie plots, should be fun! I have been playing around with the speed of play back with a Velos 880 in flight. at 17% video playback speed the flight sounds it makes is a dead ringer for the Bell 212...it's amazing how accurate the sound comparisons are. I'll be posting one of those movies as well for everyone's entertainment...you'll swear I used the full scale sound track but I promise it will be the Velos 880 in slow-mo. Enjoy!

It was a 200mm lens and tri pod. I was no where near. Aris, was there a photo in your other post about carrying the 10 pounds of water for an hour? It didn't come through.

It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday and a joy to watch that big bird fly. See again in 3 weeks. Be safe and enjoy the day today.
