Default Zeal On Goblin 630 competition ?

Hello, I have a technical question. buy 2 sets of blades, Zeal 600 energy for a competition Goblin630 I bought. h I have a problem, screw hole main blade is small (4mm) and sab uses 630 5mm hole. I've looked at the 620 Zeal and having hole 4mm, the question is. there is an upgrade to accommodate the blades? or you can not put Zeal in Goblin 630? thanks

Have you tried pressing out the brass bushings in the blades?

Regardless, 600mm is quite small for the heavy 630.

I believe the 640's are the ideal blades on the 630. Considering people run 660's on the 630 safely, the 640's extra length shouldn't be a problem.

The pressing out of the bushings is quite 'controversial' .. Some think it's fine. Personally i think the bushes are in there for a reason and i would not be happy to remove them. IMHO if they were intended to be removable the manufacturers would say so. But each to their own, you do it at your risk.

+1 on above point that 600mm blades are really too small for the Goblin 630. bear in mind that the G630 is much closer to a 700/770 size heli than it is to a traditional 600. It shares all mechanical components with the 700/770 so it's 'chunky'. You would need to run stupid high headspeed to get decent performance. I use 660 blades on mine.

I've also used 630's, 640's and 660's. My favs were the 640's.

The 660's made the dragonfly agility seem slower than I liked for that airframe. 640's felt like a perfect balance for me. Better than 630's but no loss of agility as compared to 660's.

They can be pressed out and replaced with the 5mm sleeve. You would have to drill out the root a bit to accommodate the larger brass sleeve. I've done this by using a drill press to assure a perfect 90° angle. SAB sells the 5mm brass sleeves. They also sell 4mm adapter that allows the user to accommodate the 4mm root mains on the market.
