Default My E5 to an E6

Ok guys I'm beyond the learning stages now and want a bigger Synergy without an E7. The in-between size 600 class.
Now I know there are two stretch kits one for 606s and one for 626s.
think I want the 626 stretch. Couple questions for those who have flown both.
What kind of motor, batts, esc and pinion? Not really sure of headspeed I should be looking for. My E5 was at 2100.2300.2500.
Those speeds aren't ideal for 600 size correct? Whats a nice smack headspeed for 600 size?

Want it to be 12s setup.

I have mine setup as a 626. I run a 12s setup Xnova 4025-560kv motor. 4.5:1 tail ratio. However you can likely fly fine with the stock ratio and 105 tails.

I like 1950-2100 headspeed however I fly heavy packs 3300 65c and 3700 45c Pulse. It's a lot of fun to fly on 6s as well.

A good smack head speed on the e5-stretch depends on which blades you prefer. With 606 blades 2350-2400 was great for hard 3D, and 2200-2250 was great while using the 626 blades. I prefer the 606 blades for faster cyclic and more bite when flying aggressively, however they provide less lift so be sure size your batteries accordingly. Running 12S I'd recommend 3200-3500 mah for 606 and 3700-3850 mah for 626 to obtain optimal disk loading values while maintaining lots of fun.

The 3rd option is 626 blades using the E7 head for +15mm disk diameter... 4000's would be good for that setup.

I've run upwards of 2600 for testing purposes and anything above 2400 was pretty much unnecessary and only decreased flight times proportionately. (I'd even say 2400 is a bit extreme, but not entirely useless)

Last thing, optimal tail rpm running 106s is around 10k. I always adjust tail ratio to achieve that +/- 300 rpm to maintain holding ability in high load maneuvers.

Thanks Rob!! How about motor esc combos for above? Going to try a HW 130v4 because it has a bec. Cant afford a kontronik..yge which I normally use doesn't have a hv esc with a bec. Seems like only hw and konny are the only ones.
Not sure what kv I should be looking for.

It's difficult to beat the 4035-560 in any 600 config, light and powerful. It runs hot, but that won't stop it from running 100's of flights, I sold one to Sexton that had well over 1,000 hot flights. Using the 12T pinion you can expect good results between 2150-2300 and the 13T for 2350-2500.

The 530kv is nice (if you can find one), slightly less power, and the 500kv is good but limited to mild 3D because it lacks the shear power output of the 560.

The HW130 should work, I never had anything larger than a castle 120 and my 4035-560 saw quite a few flights on the E7 before the 4525 released.

So I'm going for the E6ss with 626s and 105 tails with a scorp 560 kv and hw 130 esc. Ill get the longest boom but do I also need to change my stock e5 tail?

Probably. Depends on what headspeed you are planning to run. Ideal tail rpm is 10k, which is why the stock e5 has 4:1 tail, typical head speed is 2500. I imagine you'd run 626s around 2100-2200? If so then 4.5:1 would be ideal, and 4.9:1 if you will be at 2k or less.
