Maybe a 10-20 minute browse through the Helicopter Safety forum. Safety first!

Don't fret too much. I was a nervous wreck when I spun mine up the first time, but as soon as it lifted off the deck and I felt how stable it was, my nerves almost immediately loosened up.

I'd sya there's a couple fo sensible safety precautions. Think about and have a plan and even practice what you are going to do on a hot start if you've never used IC.
AND make sure you have an assistant with you that knows enough to help out if something silly happens while you get familar with it. These are very very stable helis when setup right but mechanical failures can bite anyone and a solo maiden isn't the time to find what you forgot! Classically it's a servo wheel screw... so preflight thoroughly and follow a checklist |
