Default For Logo 480 xxtreme guys...

If you're wondering if 80mm cyclone tail blades works with cyclone 505's, here's the proof. It works for me. I'll keep this setup until I find out it doesn't work, but I really doubt I'll have any problems.

This is a completely stock Logo 480 xxtreme. I was just curious if it would work because I wanted more tail authority. The only thing I had to add was 3mm adapters in the root holes on the 505's. They're 4mm and the 480 blade grips are 3mm.

So, no problems flying 505 blades with a stock 480? No stretching, nothing? That's good to know.

Yeah what he said where does someone pick up the 4mm to 3mm adapter? I'm about to buy new blades and was thinking of going 505's since I'm already running 80mm tails.

Good to know. Was planning to stretch to run 505 after I crash but looks like I can run on stock setup. What degree pitch are you running?

I was going to with this recent crash but I couldn't find the root hole spacers. Looks like they come with my new switch blades so I'll probably try my g500 blades on it for a test before buying the 505's.

I never did find them myself. It was just easier for me to get the $12 logo 500 blade grips.

Sounds like a good idea. Does it change the pitch settings at all between the two grips or are they virtually identical other than the bold hole size?

500 blades fit without issues? Without stretching?
I have some 500 (actually old 600) grips laying around.

I might need to try this...

Yup! but I did eventually stretch it after a crash why not if you're buying a boom and belt might as well. But it was fine before hand with the 500 Sab blades and 80mm tail.

Stock main gear as well?
I don't fly super hard and have always tried to fly smooth.

Stock form I get sooo much flight time, and the motor is super cool after.
I went as far as flying with 2600's and still get 6 minutes, but I have some 33 and 3700's as well.

Just ordered 503's and 80's for the tail. Have to dig up my 500 grips...

Yeah I haven't had any issue with the gear so far 305 flights on the stretched 480 so far.

Thanks Oliver. I'll let you know how it goes.

Also the longer belts are a bit beefier / wider, stronger.

Had a chance to get 2 flights and I love it.

The tail isn't 100% correct yet so I'll need to sort that out hopefully

5 or 5.5 minutes and only put 1700 mah back into the packs.

I lowered my HS to 2100/2200 thinking I like the 2100 better.

The longer skinny boom seemed weaker in flight with the stock struts so I grabbed my 550sx struts and put those on.

Tail tweaking today.
