550x to 600x

I have a spare 550x still in the box,,,, I want to build a 600x with it,
Any input welcome...
List of parts...

ICE2 120A... (already have)
Western Robotics BEC (already have)
Motor (Compass 4026 505kv 12s 6HVU).... 6mm shaft (already have)
Motor Mount???? ....( I believe the 600x is different... recessed?)
Pinion (17 or 18 stock brass pinions are the only option)
Boom
tailshaft
boom braces?? (i assume the 550 ones won't be adequate)
push rod (not available... will work something out)
Canopy (tempted for the sake of not flying it with a 550 canopy)
Blades.... (already have)
Batteries... (already have)
Align DS610 cyclics... (already have)
Align DS650 tail... (already have)

Motor mount is different - holes are at wider distances. But if your motor fits the 550 mount then you don't need the 600 one.

You don't need any other boom braces.

And by tailshaft I think you mean torquetube. Yes you need that.

I also suggest upgraded lynx main gear with corresponding pinion. Stock main gears are weak. But if you do keep the stock main gear, make sure your pinion/gear clearance is correct. There should be no play at the tightest point (and only at the tightest point).

Other than that you are good.

If anybody can find a lynx main gear for the 550x let us know. I would sure like to have 2.

I got this done... it flies great... the compass motor works great in this heli
