Default Have a dx6 gen 2 and a 120sr

We have been having the most difficult time with setting up this transmitter and this helo. I have tried the nothing and ACRO mode, have tried the normal swash mode, placed multiple calls to HH and they scratch their heads with no answer. This was a RTF copter and the original TX died. Went as far as buying another control board for the helicopter and have the same results. Thinking it has to be my stupidity and inexperience with fp helicopters. Please advise

Read a little further and copied settings from another user. It just strikes me as odd when I watch the swash move.

This is a FixedPitch with a mechanical flybar.

The swash is limited to elev/nick and ail/roll.
No pitch movement with only 2 servos.

It works within Airware in heli H1 servo / 90 degree mode with no CCPM120 mixing (just like as FBL helis).

If you e.g have problems with binding it might be that your older 120SR board just speaks DSM2 but your newer DX6G2 just speaks DSMx??
My 120SR replacement heli/board from 2013 already was DSMx.
Older 120SR from 2012 was DSM2 only.

I still can't figure out from your posting what your actual problem is with the swashplate!

Can you do a video?

You know...the 120SR was IMHO not the best heli to use for outdoor and actually get a feeling how to fly CPs.
You learn wrong things on this FP (nick stick always forward, throttle stick to zero, etc.) that it very hard to get away from all these bad habits once you step up to a real CP heli.

Don't worry about DMS2/DSMX, you're in the US and US DX6G2's all support DSM2.

What problem are you having?

Failure to bind?
Failure to control properly?
Servo throw issues?
Something else?

I'd start with binding in Acro mode, make sure you have assigned ch 5(gear) to a switch and set it to 100 (on) to put the FC in low rates (it's got a tendency to overdrive the servo's in full rates)

I'd suggest getting the mSR/120SR setup guide from RCHelicopterFun, it's very good.
