Default CC ICE Lite 100 + Capacitor = Peace of Mind?

I bought a used Protos 500 from a fellow helifreaker and here is the original setup:
FBL: BeastX w/ v2.0 firmware
Receiver: Futaba R617FS
Cyclic servos: Hitec HS-5245MG x 3
Rudder servo: Futaba S9257
ESC: Castle Creations ICE Lite 100A
BEC: Internal BEC of the ESC
Motor: Lipotech MSH 26-10 820KV

The seller seemed to have taken good care of the heli and he said everything was ok. I viewed the log of the ESC and did not find anything abnormal.

After a complete rebuild, I switched out the FBL as well as the receiver and installed an AR7210BX. I set the BEC voltage to 5V (default), went through the FBL setup, tested the heli a bit (haven't flown yet) - so far so good.

I have read some posts in this forum and did notice that some people mentioned the brownout issues when using the internal BEC of the CC ICE ESC's. I am a little worried because for such a beautiful heli, I do not want to crash it due to this. Today, I went to RadioShack and bought a capacitor (2200uF, 35V). I soldered a servo cable to the cap so that I can plug it into the AR7210BX.

Here are a few pictures of the heli. My question is, would this "fix" be sufficient, considering the setup of my heli?

Hi, for real peace of mind I would install a CC 10Amp BEC. I have one since 2010 mounted on a Trex 500 (real 425) without a single problem (although the old one burned on the ground seconds after plugging the bat). Back then there were stories of Ice bec brownouts in 500 machines.

If you have a free port I would still install a capacitor but you don't need a 35v one. A 10v is enough even for HV (8.4v servos) and the 5600uF is the same size as yours but x2.5 times the capacity. Its not strictly necessary as I have been flying hard without it but just in case... in the end it costs cents and can save some $$.
