Haven't flown it yet (waiting on the washout base from previous owner), but looking forward to it.

I don't have a fancy camera, just my phone. Also the lighting was kinda weird as can be seen from the blades and metal parts.

Thanks guys, it's just that I love the quality pictures a good camera can take.
Sonic, looking good man See you have a Scorpion -8 too, think you'll like it. Also, it looks like you don't have deans? What are those connectors?

I'm thinking about going 6S myself, from what I've heard it'll give longer flighttimes and more consistent power (aka unboggable headspeed), which sounds very attractive.

Here's my Beam. Just got a Fusuno canopy from Helidirect for it. Using 5065's on cyclic. Scorpion -8 and 60A ESC.

Default Mid-Michigan Beam Me Up

Third Heli, Second this season. It's sweet and a half. Gotta love the sweet sound it makes spooled up with the excellent quality mechanics and precision. Build was mostly fun to, except for lapping the swash seats for free movement. Zero problems (excluding the programming the Tahmazo ESC, which I begrudgingly resolved with the EasyPro box - use it once and it's basically never used again.) Hitec HSG-5083MG, HS-5065's, Spartan, Scorpion HK-2221-8, TP blades, Tahmazo 40 amp esc (20 degrees timing, slowest acceleration soft start).

Here is mine with the stock Beam canopy that I threw some color on so I could see it better. It only took about 5 minutes to make it paint ready. I used 3M blue painters tape. Masked off the black windscreen and the silver bottom and wiped it down with alcohol. I then sprayed the middle with some fluorescent orange lexan paint I had laying around. When that was dry I shot it with a coat of clear. The color is actually a few shades darker than it looks in the picture. (I couldn't get the lighting right.) It's nothing special but it was cheaper than a custom painted fiberglass canopy that I'd destroy on the first crash knowing my luck.
