Default OS 105 HZ/HZR muffler?

thinking of installing the 105 on my TRex 700N..... anyone know if my Hatori .91 pipe made for the OS .91hz will fit it, or do I need a pipe specially made for the new engine? I cant seem to find specs for the pipe anywhere......

YS120!!! A guy at my field has the Os105, I just don't see it making the power like the 120 can!!! I will say that the OS105 is MUCH easier to tune though.

My experience with YS has been pretty good over the years. You are right, in my opinion, that os is easier to tune... BUT, once the YS is dialed in, I feel it delivers a little more power.... esp when paired up with a good Hatori pipe..... Is there any cutting involved to install one on my 700?

For the YS120 NO. For the OS 105 you have to cut the fan shround a little around the carb barrell. Other than that, they are both drop ins. Be carefule with the YS120 if you go that route. I click was the difference betwee "kinda rich" and "holy sh** lean"!!! The Os 105 will tune just like the 91 (needles will be approx. same pos) About 1 1/8 on the high and 3/4 on the mid after break in for the OS105. The YS 120 likes just under 1.5 on BOTH needles. The idle on the YS120 WILL come set TOO LEAN. It will need 1/8 turn richer or ruin your day. Hope this helps with whatever motor you all decide to run.

+1 - Hatori may not always bee the "ideal" option, but for the YS120 and OS105 it is a must IMO.

If you do decide to get a YS120, I did happen to buy 3 of them in order to get a hefty discount. I have one sitting in the box if you'd like it. I'll have to figure out how much each were with the discount but I think it was somewhere in the ballpark of 465? At the time it seemed like a good deal because they were going for 499-529. Anyway, if ever interested just shoot me a PM - NO RUSH whatsoever though because I've never advertised it.

Well, I paid 470 for the engine shipped to my house. Once you factor in paypal and shipping (Unless sent as gift). I'd have to ask 505 shipped. I know it seems high, but I'd rather keep it than lose money. PM if still interested.

Old discussion but..
I need a pipe for the os max 105 hzr with drs.
Any one know which one?
I would buy the hatori sb-22-fh but I can't find It.
So better the os max 105 hzr with drs and an other pipe or the Yamada 96srx(my first nitro but I have a friend with lot of experience) and hatori Pipe?
I see in the forums that the os max 105 was more regular with power distribution and the ys was better at high rpm.
What is your opinion and solution for the sab nitro 700 ?(engine and pipe.. have a great engine but a not good pipe was not a solution I suppose)
I prefere a soft 3D and long time fly with better combinations of power and duration of the fly.
Thx

I use an MP7 which can be found for around 100-120 bucks and it works just fine.

I've got a M-Studio MS96-3D from RCJapan. Works with 91 SRX and 96 SRX. It was like $130 I think.

Now I use 20 % into with a Jrx(clone hatori for 3D). I see the header and it is the same of the jrx (ha clone). There is a bottleneck in the header , the same on jrx muffler.
The ha952 it is specific for 3D ?(soft 3D)
Thx
P.s:it is is a Japan site , I don't understand what it is write on that site
