Hmm, I wonder how much the bundle of wire weighs at the back of my NEO? If I shortened them it would make for a very tidy build.

It does make it look clean, but IMO the weight is negligible. Then if you ever want to sell your servos, good luck! I prefer to fold the wire over itself and cover it with wire loom.

I cant stand bundled up wires. They are ugly, take up tons of space, and are a pain to hide. Not to mention long wires increase the chances of them getting caught in something spinning.
If I ever need to sell my servos I'll open them up and solder new leads on. 5 minute process at the worst.

All wires should fit under the gyro plate nicely just like the 450 pro Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk |

As you can see in the pics I did sand the edges and will also add a few strips of electrical tape to the plate and double sided tape to the boom holder to prevent slipping.

I tried but between the S.Bus cable and RPM sensor and all the servos there was no way they'd all fit with them folded up.

It will be interesting to see what you get in the box. There appears to have been quite a number of changes.
As for wiring I have mine neat as I have shown elsewhere. It was more a rhetorical question about how many grams could I shave off the model by removing anything not required. |

I have run double sided tape on the inside of the frame for my 450 and 550 and then run the servo wires on the tape. Seems to be working ok.
I have been thinking about getting some of servo wire organizer stips and see how they work. Probably a bit big for a 450, but may be ok for a 470 and bigger. http://www.espritmodel.com/bvm-servo...-strips-6.aspx

For the esc lead I used shoe goo to hold it against the inside of the frame. Similar, seems to be working ok.

Yes the red stiffener is the same for the 470L and 450L.

Battery space
I don't own one of these birds, but am interested.
I have some 6S packs that I wonder if they would fit in the space provided. They are 115mm x 35mm x 48mm. Is there enough width or height to allow that 48mm dimension?

The width and length should not be a problem, but the 48mm height could be a problem. If thin two way tape is used to attach the battery to the battery plate, it might fit. With that big of a battery you will have a difficult time getting the CG correct. I am running 1800 batteries and have to move them in quite a bit to get the CG spot on. That size sounds like a 2600 and would be considerably heavier.

Not on mine. My 470LM kit would be pinching even a single-layer pretty hard, doubling up or overlapping any wires would be impossible. Even if I fed the connectors through before putting the plate in place it would be too tight for that option.

On mine I ended up pulling all the slack to the the front cross member just behind the motor and zip tieing it to the cross member folded up neatly. I like my servo ports facing the front so there not a rats nest of wires hanging out the back. I wish they would change the orientation of the rudder servo or make the wire exit the other side of the case. Nasty wiring is a pet peeve of mine, I like it neat and hidden.

Thanks for the details. They are 2150 size but their 48mm dimension does make fitting a challenge.
