It looks like Align has turnbuckle linkages for the 550X and the 470L listed in the spares page of their website.

jsenicka, at the end of the last video you said you were going to do the internal governor setup in a later video... Can you post that?

I've found your videos a huge help in doing my 550x build, but I am really lost when it comes to setting up the governor.

One question is whether it's even necessary for my first few flights. If I don't setup the governor, then the system won't know the head speed, right? The manual says the head speed must be below 2700, so if I'm reading it right you just wing it based on % power output to motor using the profiles suggested on page 23 of the manual?

Thumbs up

Thanks for a great build thread jsenicka.

I one thing I didn't like about the 550x design is the M2x3.5 ball link for the tail servo. You only get a couple threads out the back of the servo horn and they provide the crappy M2 nut(not a lock nut) to secure the ball link.
I used my Dermel to reduce the thickness of the horn a little so I had enough threads showing to use a lock nut. The design is a guaranteed future problem if you don't modify it to your liking IHMO.

Again thanks a ton for a great build!!!

Three Cheers

I used a different, thinner, servo arm from my servo arm box of spare parts. Yes I actually saved all those servo arms that came with every servo I ever bought in the last 20 years....
