I almost crashed my car while listening to the Align 700L V2 news. I rewound about 10 times to listen Nick's contribution. Funny stuff.

So what size engine does the 570 nitro use? I would have thought a 55 would be shloads of power. 91? Really?

It's the 90 because that's the footprint of the Os gt15.

Thanks for the info on the hobbywing esc. I will have to try that.

Here's my "heli workspace": I just set up a card table in my living room
I like to listen to music or watch netflix while I build or work on helis.

It's a bit small for working on a 700, but I managed anyway. That bag on the floor is my tool bag. I keep most of my hobby related tools and fluids in there. When I go to the field I just bring that bag and I know I haven't forgotten any important tools. It's not super organized but it does have pockets for drivers, pliers, etc so it's at least not just a pile o' stuff I have to rummage through.

I see some Protos parts in the Miscellaneous bin. What were those for? Magnetic mounts?

Justin? Can you make a post when you have time about how you use your drill press to calculate actual motor Kv? I am very interested to know how to do this.
