BuddyRC has a decent price on some Glaciers. HK has some nice looking Graphene 1500's. Last but not least, if you are on a budget, Aligntrexstore has some smokin deals on some old stock 6s 2200 packs for about $12 each.

FWIW, I've had 2 Glacier 6S/4000 packs, and one developed a dead cell after 4 cycles, and the other started puffing after about 10 cycles (proper charging/usage/storage). IMO, garbage.

Default Align lipos on 470lm

I have now tested the align 6s 2100mah 20c with fairly aggressive 3d.

Pretty darn good I'd say. And at $12.50 a pop!
They cg perfect by the way and are lighter than pulse 1800mah.

Default Low $ 6s LiPo

Ditto on those

6S1P 22.2V 2100mAh/20C KX870006A $12.50

but you will need

Align Balancer/TP Adapter K10384A $1.00

TP balance adapters are available at lots and lots of places.

I have heard of people having problems with the larger packs but Glaciers from 6s 1300mah down to 3s 450mah have been better than any other brand I've used.

Held up better under heavy abuse than others did being babied.

Personally won't buy anything other than Glacier except Pulse lipos if I catch them on sale.

I'm familiar with C ratings. My experience with 20-25C packs is that they perform very poorly for 3D. For example cyclic tic tocs. Are they worth it for 3D is the question? My experience with 6s 5000mah align batteries has been poor also.

Also C ratings are typically exaggerated or inaccurate on cheap packs.

Default From an old Align 500 guy

I really think the 470 is the no brainier at this point. With my old 500 it was cheaper to run 2x 3s lipos than 1x 6s but now days its still a cheaper option, go figure.
Looking at some 1800mah lipos on HobbyKing.com to fit the bill.

You just have to pull the trigger on two of them.

Turnigy nano-tech 1800mah 3S 65~130C $19.80
Turnigy 1800mAh 3S 40C $15.42
ZIPPY Flightmax 1800 mAh 3S 40C $13.37
ZIPPY Compact 1800mAh 3s 40C $12.93
Turnigy 1800mAh 3S 30C $12.86

Default Series LiPo

Oh! You will also need

XT60 Series adaptor $3.52

Series Adapters are the perfect solution for you looking to increase that 2x 3s voltage to 1x 6s and adding almost no weight. These adapters also prevent adding additional lengths of cable. Series adapters are soldered together and heat shrink shielded

How hard do you fly crashy?
With decent collective management, they do well.

With that being said, my gensace 1800mah is definitely stronger.
All I'm saying is that I'm shocked at performance for $12, and I have alot of fun flying the packs.

I decided to go with lighter batteries. Every time I buy big packs I'm disappointed. I don't fly smack and my collective management is very good. I just don't want that heaviness in cyclic tic tocs and hurricanes.

I was tempted though!

Thanks for the reply.

Hello,

I am new to this hobby. I bought a few of those Align batteries with the TP Balancer and have a question. What type of connector do I need to plug this into a charger? The plug at the end of the TP Balancer does not fit to the balance port of charger or parallel charging board.

Thanks for your help.
