Default Video breakdown

Whenever I watch flight videos, I always see things that I have no idea what they are called. So I've been working on something that allows you to break a flight down.

This is an example with a set manoeuvres flight.
Dave Seamark - Set Manoeuvres - Grass Roots 2016

This is a sim lesson broken down (not that it needs it, but it's an example)
Pirouetting TicToc vs Corkscrew

Freestyle by Marik.
Marik Wiehenstroth - New Mikado LOGO 700 - Mikado Power Hour- IRCHA 2016

The idea is that you find a video and we use our collective understanding to break the flight down into pieces. I have no idea if it will work, but I've wanted to do it for ages, so it's worth a shot.

The interface isn't as slick as I'd like it, but works well enough for now. Anyone can add videos and timestamps to the videos. If you find a video you want broken down, post it here and I'm sure we can figure it out.

Nice idea. I enjoyed watching the flights then going over the highlighted moves. Here's a thread with some possible candidates. There's probably at least one move in each that I don't know but I'm wondering if worth the effort given the moves are distributed across so many videos. As an example really cool slow semi pirouette tictocs in the last video with a Goblin 770.

I'd not seen that thread, thanks for the link. I'll load up the videos and moves tonight, and then see if I can break the first Kyle Stacy one in a few more moves.

I didn't think it was going to work with unstructured freestyle but it's not too bad if you don't break it down into tiny pieces. Just a large grouping will do.

I've tried to do Kyle and Dunkan's flights here
BEST RC Heli Flight EVER: Kyle Stacy Goblin 700 @ Southwest Heli Rodeo

As a bonus I hadn't planned, you can select just the flight. So in this case the video starts with almost 90 seconds of commentating, but you can skip it by hitting 'Just the flight'

Very nice!

At first I thought it would difficult to annotate but you've got a nice little UI going there to add moves. Hopefully it reorders based on time cause that works nicely with YouTube and bandwidth.

It re-orders automatically by start time and you can have pieces overlaying each other if you want to break it down further or give a bigger group.

I gave the latest SmackTalk RC episode the treatment.
SmackTalk RC Podcast Episode 3 - Nik Johnson

It would work really well on RCHN when looking for something specific but I don't think they're on YouTube.
