Man, funnels already? Does this mean you're already past getting upright forward/reverse and inverted forward/reverse? IMO, funnels are easy compared to inverted circuits. If you already got those that fast, good on you. Getting 8s in the basic orientations took me a while.

I am working on inverted manuevers as well right now. It helps me when learning certain things to do several things. Some things I will catch onto quicker and usually things I learn doing those things help me with the things I am having issue's with, if that makes sense. I have not started on inverted reverse though. So doing upright forward and reverse and inverted forward. My upright figure 8's are decent. One of things I really want to learn are funnel figure 8's Those look so neat.

So yeah I loosely follow a couple of the training programs on here but have rearranged things into what works best for me.

For me, once I could get upright reverse and tail first inverted flying pretty good, at least the part of getting into the funnel became much easier. Until then you stumble around trying to find ways to get started into them. How it was for me anyway. Getting the setup right makes makes them much easier to perform. I had only tried them just a few times and never spent any real time on it and then one day I did and was surprised how easy they were, sort of. Even linked a video in this forum and it was my first take of the video.

this is pretty much where i am, i cant fly really inverted. can hover but not really fly circles or anything. barely go back and forward.

backwardsflight is sketchy, and thats how i see alot of people entering funnels.

my funnels usually either end up doing an oval into the ground, or i end up going inverted and crash
