Aeolus 50 FBL Headspeed?

Whatwould you guys recommend for a headspeed?(to set my governor with ASP 52 engine)

1. Running in
2. General forward flight
3. 3D
4. Hard Core 3D

Running the engine requires a moderate h/s but more importantly you need to run the motor rich for the first few tanks..

For the OS50 and OS55 motors the peak power is around ~17000rpms. Most nitros gear ratio is approx. 8.6 so for 3D/hard 3d most use approx. 2050rpm so under load you are pushed into the motors power band.. If your collective management is good you can increase your h/s to 2100-2200 if you need extra pop.

You will need to find out at what rpms the ASP52 makes max. power so you can work out the optimum h/s for your engine.

For general flying 1800-1900 is fine..

More important that the h/s is tuning the engine properly. Without a good tune you will be done on power. Whatever you do, dont run the engine lean or you will fry it.
