You can stretch it to take up to 520mm blades, by using x5 torque tube, boom and blade grips. That's what I'm planning to do!

Impressed by the smoothness of the X4 II with 515 .... flown with Jeff today and guys ... if you're looking a smooth machine on 515 with battery tray ... that's the way to go !....
Ask Jeff for tail blade size, I think he's using 85mm if I'm not mistaken ...

Yup ... I had to drop the stock blades and go with KBDD 84.5 EE's on the tail. It would blow out on hard collective with the stock ones. I also added a touch of revo mix, but I decided to reduce that a bit since it was over compensating after the new blades were installed.

Guys, I can't tell you how happy / impressed I am with my current setup. I'll post it in the setup thread.

Has anyone here tried the X4II with a 5000mah lipo and 500mm+ blades?

Would the disk loading be to heavy?

Cheers
Alex

I'm running it with 4000mah and 515s.... it would easily handle the additional weight of the 5000.

Nice flight Matt!

Mine must be broken. It definitely doesn't fly like that... Lol.

Aerial vids are tough to watch sometimes. This was the first flying vid my best friend filmed with his DJI Phantom, and the first flight I've ever had recorded from the air.

Best viewed in HD Full Screen.

Aerial video of Bob O'Connor doing some 3D. (5 min 17 sec)
