On the helijive autorotation isn't a fixed throttle range like it is on a kosmik / jive pro. Once you program mode 4 you have to have a switch that is set at 15-20% throttle that you switch to once you get the conformation beeps of mode 4 programming and then it confirms the bail out activation and the bail out throttle is a valid percentage.

Did you do that procedure?

7.11 Autorotation (Bail-out)
The autorotation allows the motor to spool up in a
shorter time to higher RPM. This allows for abrupt
interception maneuvers. The spool up time in
autorotation mode is depended on the set RPM
spool up time and is 1/6 of this value. If a general
spool up time of 12 seconds is set, in autorotation
mode the spool up time is now 3 seconds.
Autorotation has to be activated via PROGDISC –
HELI JIVE Card and “Full throttle”, “Motor-Off” and
“Brake” positions have to be set. The percentage
throttle value can be set via throttle.
For programming autorotation please follow the
procedure as described:
Program 3 switch positions to your TX (1: 0%=
“motor off”, 2: 100%= “full throttle”, 3: 15-20%=
Autorotation position). Check on your TX monitor
whether the respective percentages are valid.
Connect battery to HELI JIVE and wait for acoustic
signals (2 seconds). Unplug Jumper from ESC and
wait for mode tones (mode 1: one tone, mode 2:
two tones…mode 8: eight tones). Wait for desired
mode and move throttle to full throttle position.
After confirmation signal (3 tones) move throttle to
AR position. The HELI JIVE confirms AR position
(3 tones). Finally, disconnect battery.
Should the bail-out maneuver be stopped and the
motor is switched on again, the HELI JIE returns to
the preset RPM in quick spool up. If the switch
remains in autorotation position for more than 12
seconds soft start of the motor is reactivated. Due
to security considerations the quick spool up will
also be deactivated for the next one spool up, if the
throttle is in Motor-Off position for more than 15
seconds. The autorotation bail-out is no individual
mode and can be activated in modes 2, 3, 4, 5,6.

Default Heli jive

Hi yes, I tried that as per manual. In vbc in esc wizard I choose the jive and not jive pro, In this mode the vbc automatically sets the esc % for banks 1,2,3 and for AR esc to 0% and does not allow AR esc TO ANTHING BUT 0%

Going into throttle endpoint settings does not allow me to switch to AR mode as it is a mode that outputs a linear throttle curve only.

So so far no luck.

Quick walk through on how I did mine.

Go to PRO PARAMETER APP, select 20% as auto rotation.

Go to WIZARD select Jive, do mode programming making sure MOTOR switch is in RUN, do desired governor mode and wait for confirmation tone with collective stick at full throttle position, switch motor switch to IDLE and voila you will get the telephone ring tone.

Strange, mine works and programs as advertised. What are the firmware version of your HJive?

Default Same setup different issue.

So I have had this jive 120hv a year now on my 700 Heli . All was well, recently I upgraded the head and a few parts. In the same breath I redid the setup on vbar... Now tome to set up the esc all fails. I can get into program mode only with “motor on” but when I go full throttle for mode one, it’s so if I have been ignored.. the esc just keeps going.
I understand about the end points md have tried to set them however in the V control I get to a point where it says but throttle to lowest position and that’s it.
What also confuses me is that I run an external Bec which is connected to one side of the Y connection for the 12s setup so when I try to go through the wizard and get to the point where it says to restart the vbar I start the trial and error and it has always been a successful error. I have even made a program wire where I just connect and disconnect just not to have to constantly be fighting to put it back in ..
What is the way it should be done.....Aso is it that the esc is not seeing my full throttle....in the endpoint screen it’s 100/100 so I don’t get it.
Another strange thing is that when my radio is in motor off mode the esc does not arm.... which is strange cause all my other Helicopters do..sometimes I even get that flashing light without sound.
Does my setting in the collective part of the wizard have anything to do with this.

Just tried again.
I did a new model but before adjusting anything I attempted to program the esc directly and nothing. Now response at high throttle. I did get a type of telephone ring for a few seconds. Never got that.
Should my batteries be fully charged. This is a bummer.

The wizard in the VBC will set direct stick control for throttle, you have to repower the Neo and on reconnect it will still be active until you press exit on the VBC. once in this mode you can pull the program plug from the HeliJive and it should enter program mode. Follow the Kontronik manual on programming mode 1 first, unplug power on again and program mode 4 for Kontronik governor.

I have gotten it to enter into the programming however when i actually noticed it happened i was already at 3 beeps. Waited till the 4 beeps and raised the throttle....Whala i got the confirmation beeps. After this and being so frustrated, i took her outside with blades off and tested if the programing was a success. I can now get three banks with different headspeeds. 40-50-60. btw i has a 21th pinion.

I did read somewhere that the esc should "set up" its own headspeeds or something like that by allowing the heli to spool up for a few seconds.
Question:
Is this correct and can the blades be off ?
Is the any other mandatory setup in the Jive ?
Is there anything i should double check before taking to the skys.

Thanks buddy..

From the manual, mode 4 is governor that sets rpm at each spoolup to the supplied voltage. Mode 5 is the one that you need to spoolup with load and your weakest pack after programming for it to learn the rpm/voltage and will keep the rpm irrespective of old or new pack.
