Default Adjusting neg. pitch on landing. need help

So following all the you-tube videos on such I adjusted my negative pitch upon landing. ( fine adjustment was made when I was trying to get it back in the case..in IU1 And TH on) . This was my first time at it. I made sure that my final adjustment was nose in and down, main blades were completely level when I finished. I think I got -10 degrees ...does this look right? Should I consult a manual to make sure that it follows within the required settings? Should I now continue on with videos and check the blade tracking?

Yikes. Yeah we all do dumb stuff. I hope the case survived better than the heli.
I guess that is why some of us use two TH switches.

Not sure...it was just flown by another fella 10 minutes before. I threw another battery in it,it lifted, she flew completely sideways nice and level about 15yards only 2 feet off the ground. I went WTF..slammed the throttle down and it started chasing ants. Took me completely by surprise. It wasn't in idle up....it just wanted to go that way me thinks!!

Do you have stock servo's?
What about reaction to stick inputs?
Couldn't correct it or panic freeze on the sticks?

I thought by your comment you had possibly put it in the case powered and knocked TH off. Who knows what might have failed. The post mortem should be interesting.

Servos all upgraded to hi-tec,401 gyro, head and pitches were all rechecked and reset b4 flying. Happened so fast I am sure I gave it some right, but it kept going left. Who knows?? I do know what I said afterwards..but it would probably get me banned from here..

I did have to "tweak" the flybar a little afterwards by hand to get the case lid to close. But as bonus points,I watched the blade tracking when the other fella had it up in the air..an it was bang on!

Well sometimes we'll freeze up and unknowingly hold the stick exactly where it's going it happens. Then there is brown out where the servo's just lock up and don't move because of voltage loss.

Post mortem revealed..bent feathering shaft, bent main,2 broken and (slightly missing extremities) main blade holders, broken frame tabs, broke landing gear, bent tail boom, broke tail boom support, tensionable pneumothorax as well as serious cuts, abrasions, contusions, and heart failure

C.O.D. it attributed to a cracked servo arm which resulted in a green stick fracture causing a rather fast and painless demise

Yearly services have been held already and its in line for a slight winterly tune up..
