the safety or panic switch is on . find the channel it is programed to and turn the safety off. This helicopter is designed if set up properly to self level and rise when the switch is engaged ,

DO NOT Try to find the switch while everything is turned on .

for the dx9 it is factory set for switch A.
on my DX6, even though I moved it to another switch, upon turning on my tx it will tell me the panic switch is off .

Default manual

https://www.horizonhobby.com/pdf/BLH4850-Manual-EN.pdf

in here you will find that you have to have the gyro switch set differently than other helicopters. This allows the bail out function to work properly .

I love this little bird , it is strong ,fast and nimble

Good Luck

This is a very powerful bird for its size. I am pretty good at flying but I still tamed it down some using the dr and expo on the radio. The first thing I would do too is toss the stock landing skids, they are too small and weak . I have Align 500 skids on my two 270cfxs'. You can see how it looks in another thread here .

^^
Put aileron and elevator D/R down to as low as 60% or 65% and expo up around 25% or 30%. Give the rudder maybe 15% expo. It works to tame any heli.

I like having my aileron even lower at 54 but all my expos are only 10 or 15 . My elevator is at 60 and rudder at 70 . and if I want a little more agility I just switch the the switch to the higher setting about 10 or 15 higher (65 , 70 , 80) I often don't have any expo on my stixs , I want reaction from the servo to be instant if I move the sticks . Once I get use to the machine I eliminate all expo but will keep dr at high levels if desired for a soft flight . dr limits the movement of the servo so it wont bank or turn so hard ...expo increases the need to move the stix more to achieve action of the servo ... eliminating shaky hands having unwanted action
