Default Thinking of getting a 'T' 700, good idea compared to other models?

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to push the buy button on the 700 'T'. SAB has a few models out right now but kinda of liking the thought of a lighter Goblin. I already have all the electronics and different blades to try. I like the BT as well. Other than price and blades would this be a good decision? Would you purchase this one? Thanks!

If you have the money go for it..yes the new carbon frames and battery tray are very nice.. yes it is lighter but I don't think I will notice too much of a difference between my other 2 BT 700's when it comes to flying characteristics.. Almost done setting up my 700T so I will be able to compare it to my other BT 700's

If you don't mind, please let me know. I don't really have the money but I know who does lol. Sweet looking bird, I had a G500 at one point and loved it!

If you already had a black thunder or a g700/770 I'd say it's not worth it. However as you don't, if you can afford the difference in cost it's worth it. It's the lightest and latest in SAB design. If you don't have the extra money the Black Thunder non T is still a very very good heli.

Definately its going to be worth it getting a T. I have a BT 700 and now a T and there is slight difference but again worth it.

Especially the sliding battery tray, light canopy and the carbon they have used is top notch.

Excellent work done by SAB.

So you're saying the "T" canopy is lighter than the BT canopy?

When they released the BT they actually put figures of how much lighter. So whats "extra light"?

I hear that the T is around 150 grams lighter then regular thunder. But if you build it with heavy large components, it may not be beneficial. Best to build a "light set up" and take full advantage of the weight savings.

the T will still be lighter if you use those same "heavy" components in the Thunder.

I'm taking about "full weight advantage" even at 200 grams that's nothing most guys can feel, it's the weight of 1 small 2s lipo, now if you can tell me your heli is soooooo much lighter at 200 grams!!! Then you have issues. There is nothing wrong with a heli 700 size 12-13 lbs, some pros add weight to there 700, for wind compensation and stability too. Light setup is not always the way to go. IMO

Put it this way, Goblin 700 is kind of like a Porsche 911. A Porsche 911 is unmistakable it doesn't get complete facelifts or total design overhauls rapidly. Its rather tweaked and improved steadily. You shouldn't be upset at the company for improving their product.

This is a team that deeply loves helis from what I see. The T is a new level unseen from them imo. You owe it to yourself to try a Thunder or a T. If you have a thunder no I wouldn't go and get into thousands of spending but if you don't have one try the T ! Especially if you like a light feeling.

All the carbons are new, that is a large weight savings considering the design is unchanged and it has a better battery tray system.

Check my pics in the other thread comparing 630, 650, and 700.

Thanks Rosquillos.

i have almost all Goblins with me. Again as jsbach mentioned if you like the light feeling you will love this heli. It flys by itself. Throw anything to it and it will do that. Even though i havnt had flights on my T but even after 5 flights i can say that it is an awesome machine. A worth buy .

Lastly you dont need a top notch setup to make it a beast. i have an Xnova 4535 in one of my goblins, a scorpion 4535 LE and believe me the thunder has a 520 ultimate and i dont find any difference in the power. Its not that im saying xnova 4535 or scorpion 540 doesnt have enough power but due to the BT T being the lightest in the fleet you cant feel a difference. It is as powerful as you can think.

Im not a pro pilot as im still learning myself and its not been long for me in helicopters but after flying the T , i can push the helicopter more and enjoy it as it is very stable in the air. It actually disappears with a blink of an eye and mind you let me clear that the video i uploaded im only running 2050 rpm which is nothing for this helicopter as people are running 2200 to 2300. So overall im in love with the T, though i have the green BT but maybe i love inventory so that is why but to conclude it is as stable as all other Goblins.

You can watch more goblin videos on my youtube channel below.

hope you like it
