Will a ASP46H work on Aelous50GF
I am wanting to buy a Aelous GF kit to practice a few drills. This heli will not be for any 3D flying. This is more for flying some controlled drills in all orientations. Front, backwards, side cw,ccw with tail in and nose in. stall turns, loops, and rolls. I want a long flight time for practicing the aforementioned. Will the ASP46H be good enough for that style of flying on the Aelous? If any of you have this engine on this bird, I would like to hear your comments. Thank you.

ASP 46H
Hello,
Can't tell 100%, as I never owned an ASP 46H. But considering: - todays 50' size engines derived from the 46' class engines - ASP follows the OS-design The ASP 46H should fit an Aeolus 50 3D. The question might be, whether you need the engine washer or nut. Pretty easy to find out when preliminary installing with or w/o shim and fixing engine/hub/fan-system in the bird, take a look, on the lower side of the clutch. The lower edge of the clutch should be flush with the clutch-bell. If engine/hub/clutch is deeply hidden inside the clutch-bell (more than 1mm), remove the engine washer. Ideallly use 600mm blades with a 46'-size engine, as this blad size was typically developped for 46' engines. Hope this helps, Oliver P.S: Had various ASP plane engines (ABC) and all of them behaved very well |
