6" Of Freedom
Finally got the newest QJ8 up...6 inches of altitude but had, I assume, a gyro problem. Actually might have had a link come lose. I know Jude loves it when the spare parts orders come in!!
I guess it could have been worse considering I've not flown for three years. All parts are in stock and I'm looking forward to another attempt in a week or two. |

Hey, I looked for a "donkey head" or something to put up here.
Just kidding. I want you to get that bird up off the ground soon. I have to go back and review this stuff every so often to make sure I do not have problems. Harold |

It's too long since i last did this. I think I would like to go back to 4 cells and the A30 10L Hacker. Life was calmer then.

Henry, I think you need a lower tooth gear and just adjust your throttle curve in your radio to get the head speed you need. This will also make the heli easier to control once you get it in a hover.

Yep. I finally got it taken apart today so I could determine what parts I need. Sent a quote request to Charles tonight to see what it's gonna cost me. A 13T pinion was on the list.

Henry, I got a fellow that wants to buy a heli from Charles and I loaned him my G3 for pratice. I have told him that the G3 heli will be harder to hover than the bird I setup for him to learn with. He has praticed a good bit now and he thinks helis are very hard to fly. I may get him to talk to you about this, I will try to get him to respond to this post after you respond. His name is Wyillie.
