Default Crashed like a tank...

I wasn't wanting it to happen ever, but I put the 7.2 in hard on Saturday morning. I was practicing funnels, specifically transitions between funnels (tail down, tail up, skids in, skids out) when I gave the wrong corrective elevator input. So I got an inverted crash at darn near close to full throttle. Catalog of damaged parts includes-
Main blades
Main shaft (bent slightly where it tapers)
Boom support rods
One landing skid pipe
Both landing skid supports
All three cyclic servo horns
One swash to head pitch link
One tail blade

While I'm disappointed that it happened at all, I'm quite delighted with what seems like pretty limited damage that the model took.

Parts are on the way!

Yep. Boom, main gear, crown gear and ask smaller gears in the tail are fine. I broke one tail blade, so there must have been some shock thru the transmission.

May want to check the main bearings closely, my experiences with a crash like that is usually one or more of the bearings is notchy.

They all felt fine when I pulled the main shaft. I'm hoping to not need that but of advise soon, but I'll keep it in mind during my next crash post mortem exam.

I sadly have to update my list of crash damage.

I discovered that my ESC wires had been damaged (it's a HW160), 2 of the motor wires and both the throttle and the RPM/receiver power wire- all of them damaged to close to the ESC housing for me to be able to make a splice myself.

Additionally, the one way bearing was no longer holding yesterday when I spooled up for a test hover to look at my setup.

I'm still impressed that more wasn't damaged, but adding these items into the crash costs brings the total up to over $600- yikes!!! If it wasn't for the ESC, it would have been less than half.

I dunt know what parts availability looks like right now. I've found several vendors that seemed to have what I've needed, when I've needed it.

I recently purchased another 7.2 airframe from the classifieds here for a pretty sick price, so I just used that one way bearing.
