When you cut the sleeve, get a lighter and melt both ends of the sleeving lightly. This will melt the strands together and stop them from separating. Then I use a ball point pen to open the end up a little first before slipping the servo cable through. Then I put heat shrink on both ends, put the plugs back on and number the plug to corrispond with the fbl port number. This makes it easier if you have to unplug your leads for any reason in the future.
