Where is the best (cheapest) place to order one from?
Yes, they're pretty darn cool out of the box. How big is your camera? Get some Hyperion packs, and enjoy the 10:00 filght times, you know you want one.

Here is my camera mod. I got the ideal about wiring right to the main board from my boy goatkeeper but putting a plug on the pos wire so I can unplug it so the mini usb wont power up the the Qs board.

So here are some pics. The battery that was powering the camera was just as big as the 500mah battery only difference it was 370mah.

When I had the battery in the camera and battery for the heli it weighed in at 96 grams. Without the battery for the camera it now weighs in at 86 grams.

I get a full 10½ mins flight time that is power up the camera, lights and heli without powering up the camera I get 11½ mins that's heli and lights.

Also aluminum main shafts mod and they handle a crash pretty well.

Be blessed
Isaac

Cheers

(Ciao Farmer, meravigliosa isola Marettimo. Tu stai messo meglio di me a lingue.
Io non parlo inglese, ma capisco tutto cị che leggo )

I have not yet converted my Q to brushless, but four HM-4G3-Z-43 are on the way

I fly only in X mode with my Q, the + mode in the picture is for reference only.

Great idea for ducted fan use
I hope they are very quick to change the speed of rotation, because that is the key to good control.
I also hope that having sufficient gyroscopic effect so as not to decrease the performance of the rudder command

Can you post pictures of how you have positioned the brushless motors? And where you picked up the signal for the four HM-4G3-Z-43 escs?

Prior to complete the switch to brushless, I want to complete a modification to the power system to squeeze the most out of brushed motors.
Today or tomorrow I should have a 10 amp switching dc-dc converter weight of 2.2 grams.
The goal is to have a line of constant power supply to 4.5 volts using a 2S battery of 320 mah.

Ciao

Paolo

Hey farmer, the ADF30-05 is for 2S power. Do you plan to change the motors with 1S type?

What does that have to do with modding?

I just recieved today, the spare body for the MQX. Do not purchase this if you intend on useing the package as a custom body. The package is two halfs, very flat, and the top does not match the shape of the original body. It is also not enough of a material on the sides for making it fit the quad.
So, good for spare canopy, but not good if you wanted to make custome painted canopy.

Yeah I had no choice because they dont sell the ducted fans seperatly n now that I think about it gws has small cheap fans, oh well ill save the motors for a 2s setup or use them for some other projects

I got my signals off of the fetts grate..

My v3 Body looks great in black lol

Is that your brushless set-up? It seems quieter that in the teaser vid.

That is the second video I've seen of the Q on a slide, when I get my mQX, I'm gonna run straight to the park, and let it climb a tree.

That's right. It won't work, even if you reverse the prop. If all props are spinning the same direction, the body of the quad will be yawing the opposite direction!

Always remember: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction...
