Default Brain 2 gov not holding/working

Ok I have the Brain 2 setup on my whiplash. Using a align RPM sensor for the gov input. I'm getting RPM reading at the Gov and on my transmitter.

Normal mode has about 40% for throttle, idle up 1 have 50% and Idle up 2 have 75%

Per the soft ware that should give me about 1700, 1850, and 1950 rpm.

My Jeti showed the gov engaged but the RPM are not even close to holding. I'm guess gov gain is way to low. I have not changed it.

I would post a screen shot but that dam software auto/forced updated and now everything is all screwed up.

Can someone post a screen shot of the gov page or provide some cliff notes. Internet access is very limited.

Note I have the the gear ratio entered on the gov page, and when i have the radio connected i see one of the three RPM ranges change to green as I change from normal to idle up 1/ idle up 2 and so on.

Thanks

Yep that is what I'm looking for.

Not sure a 50% vs 59% gain will make that big of a difference but will try.

Thanks

6.29 gear ratio? I thought the goblins were 7.03?

Or is this from a 570 or 630?

Rudy, I have been using a Brain2 for a few weeks and have been every which way with the settings and finally have it working OK, Jeti makes changes easy. So far, it is not in the same league as a GY701 or Neo. Give these settings a try and see how it works.

I sure would like to know what you get figured out. I too am looking to get govenor working on my recently purchased gasser. I have a Jeti DS-14 and Ikon2. Just breaking in engine now with a curve.
I haven't even found a sensor yet.
It sounds like it may be better not to use the Ikon gov.

I had asked about how the gov in the Ikon2/Brain worked with gassers and had gotten good feedback before I bought it.

I'm still working with mine but the helicopter its in is giving me problems. Not gov or FBL unit related.

I say breakin your engine with normal throttle curves. On your 3rd gal of fuel you can set up the gov. Get the engine broken in first .

Sounds good.
I don't have to have a gov if I can get the curves set ok, not a big deal to me. I would enjoy having headspeed read out on my tx though.

Watch out !! Another "forced" update..........

Although I think you might be happy to do it this time, on a gasser.

"" Doubled the maximum amplitude values of acceptable vibrations on X, Y, Z axis beyond which Auto Level and Rescue become unreliable, so now max vibrations can be double than before ""

I run governor on my whiplash and the governor works flawlessly. Not that I am questioning your basic setup... but is "use governor" box checked in the flight bank ?

Sorry if you already said it was checked and I didn't read it .

Yep use gov is checked.

I'm having other problems with the airframe and i'm working those out before I jump back on the gov setup. Or I will just trash the whole airframe and be done with it.

Thanks

I spoke to Alex at IRCHA. Good news, He was very supportive of wanting to get the Brain2 gov working better on a gasser. I will be sending in some data to help them tune it. He flew my Protos and Goblin with a GY701 for a base line. I am impressed with their commitment to make the Brain2 as good as they can.
