Chompin at the bit for this one . . . . . Paid the deposit yesterday for the 25' travel trailer. Will be arriving Thursday a little after lunch...It'll take 3 hours to load it, lol. Grill, generator, food, 80qt. cooler for drinks.
My 2 700's, Night gear and a tub-o-parts...Time to tear it up!!!!

Unfortunately it looks like I'll be a spectator myself. I hastily sold my DX7 in anticipation of getting a DX8 but they appear to still be backordered. Put an order in at Barn Floor RC 11/29 and availability date went from 12/1 to 12/6 and now says 12/10.

Looks like I'll just be flying a camera and my mouth this year.

I would be willing to bet that one of the vendors will have a few DX8s on hand for sale.

Bring all your stuff and I bet you will be flying in a couple hours.

My local HS had one last week. Give them a call 850-244-0504.

If they have one available, PM me and I'll bring it down to you. I'll be there Thursday afternoon.

That, or PM Becky with BB and see if they have one. They'll be there as well.

Trouble is I already ordered one and paid via PayPal. Money hasn't been taken yet since the item isn't in. Not sure I can cancel but I'll look into it. That and I'm not sure anyone else would be willing to match Barn Floor's price of $365.

Update: PM'd B&B to check with them. I'll probably be making some calls tomorrow too.
Update: Forgot B&B doesn't deal with JR/Spektrum and aparantly missed a special at GrandRC too.

Called your shop Mark and they don't have any. Like I mentioned above, B&B doesn't play with JR/Spek so no go there either. Fortin says GrandRC is out of stock as well and RRE's site says the same, though I emailed them to check for sure since they're on the vendor list for the event too.

Looks like my order through Barn Floor RC will stand as-is. I'll still bring my gear and we'll see what happens. I already had someone on Facebook offer to loan me a spare DX7.

I'll be leaving tomorrow after work so I should be hitting O-Town by around 10pm or so.

Please bring some blocks, the terrain is not very even and you might need blocks to level your RV correctly.

getting to head down there from Atlanta , unfortunately i can not bring any of my helicopter because i just crashed them two days ago and i dont have time to fix it. But whatever, im going down there as a spectator . I think i am addticted because its going to be 7 hours drive and i am about to follow my stupidity and drive down there. Dam, florida, here i come.

Today was a super day, no rain and not too bad winds...only bad thing was overcast. Kept me from getting as many good photos as I would have like to.

I plan on looking through the photos and will post a few good ones.

ah, so you were the one flying the little Gaui or whatever Quad Copter? I was up with you during that flight (electric Caliber 90).

Looking forward to the video, I'm thinking of building a little quad myself for FPV. Will you be there tomorrow?
