A very nice and worthy Lynx upgrade!!
Just like to drop you guys some knowledge....
I just purchased the Lynx Main Bearing block upgrade, http://grandrc.com/Nitro-Helis-&-Par...duct_info.html http://www.lynxheli.com/product_info...ducts_id=22153 What a worthy upgrade. The biggest plus of the upgrade is the easy on and off that this clutch bearing block provides. No more need to try to pull the frames apart in order to get the clutch bearing block/bell stack out of the heli. You can change the bearings and inspect the clutch liner and start shaft as easy as 1,2,3. Here is some pics: Enjoy!

Bryan, it makes life soooo much easier. I was skeptical too, then I went for it and OMG, how sweet it is..., to get the main bearing block out with no fuss or muss.... Heli-Copteron is been telling me about and he loves it too.

Ive been running that since my 700 was new.I didnt like the stock set....and grand had it listed and gave it a whirl.ITS SWEET. Just pop the links out of the way, move align sensor, and the six screws and the whole stack slides out. It was very useful when the start shaft/bearing slipped and got right to it for maintenance.I can even change the clutch without eng. removel .AND it looks cool too!

Im thinkin its just a bad pic.The Lynx one I have doesnt have pins in between the frame screws like the align units. It comes with Lynx cone type stainless screws and is threaded there.

On another note, I would not recommend using the Lynx clutch bearing block with the 164T CNC main gear. Apparently the back lash (mesh) between the main gear and the pinion after the upgrade was too loose. Yesterday on my second flight while doing Tick-Tocks the gear stripped. The headspeed dropped fast and I was able to auto the heli down, but at about 3 feet from the ground the blades didn't have enough headspeed and it dropped on it's skids. It bounced and landed on it's side. Hopefully, the damage was minimal. One link from the FBL head popped and the other one broke, blades, not even a scratch on them, one of the plastic Align servo wheels skipped some teeth, but the servo is just fine and the throttle linkage needed readjustment. First crash with this heli in two years..., but I got lucky. Here is a pic of the gear. As you can see it stripped pretty clean.. This is the CNC Align 164T gear. http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product...oducts_id=4109 I installed the classic 164T, -1 main gear and the mesh with the pinion feels much better and positive.http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product...oducts_id=2610 I don't know how it will work with the Mod .01 gear setup, but I heard from Heli-Copteron that works fine.

Yes it does look great. If it wasn't for the stripped gear I would give it a two .

I don't think that there was anything wrong with it. It was suppose to be adjustable for gear mesh, but IMO and I think they realized that as well, it is a mute point. There is very little room for movement of the clutch stack since the start shaft runs through it and it goes all the way down to the clutch's one way bearing. The older version has the metal notch on it as well in order to snap into the frame's slot. The newer version doesn't and it's easier to remove from the heli, if needed. You just loosen six screws, undo the elevator servo linkage and the whole thing slides out of the frame.

I have one too, great upgrade! It was such a pain to get the clutch out before. I accidentally ordered two, so if anyone wants my 2nd make me an offer. It's brand new, never opened.

Looks great Chris, isn't it easy to get it in and out of the frame? I love it for that
