Default S32 bootloader update problem

Good evening all. I am having trouble updating my bootloader. Every time I plug in my S32 to the computer I get the 'New S32 Bootloader version 1.9 available' window pop up.

I have tried to do this by downloading the S32bl.3bin onto an SD card, putting the card into the S32 and starting it however that doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas? What I am doing wrong? Many thanks.

The bl file is still there after the application has run with that file on the SD? (will be deleted automatically if the update was successful)
Then you must have a note in the header of the last log file (behind "bl: ") that it went wrong.

Do you have that log file?
I'd guess that the file system on the SD is not ok.
Reformat it but don't use the sdformatter (sdcard.org) if the capacity of the card is >2GB. The formatter has a bug (now). Use board means of your OS (Windows) to format the card.
