Default NorCal Heli Event: Rotorfest June 8

Rotorfest is only three months away. We are taking over the airfield at Livermore Flying Electrons for one day and night of 100% helicopter flying. Please show your interest here so we can get an idea how many pilots we'll have. If you are in the NorCal area, plan to be here.

Main Raffle Prizes: Protos 500 kit (from Helidirect), hopefully more to come?

ALL engine types allowed:
  • Electric
  • Nitro
  • Gas
  • Even Turbine with proper waiver

Event Location
4455 Raymond Rd. Liver more CA. here are some links to maps
Sat view: http://goo.gl/maps/Iay7H
Map view: http://goo.gl/maps/aq2nN

Note this is not the RC field you can see from the 580 freeway. You can get to the LFE field from eith the vasco Road exit or the N. Livermore Ave exit. In either case, head north.

From N. Livemore, turn right on Hartford which winds around and turns into Raymond.

From Vasco, turn left on Dalton which also turns into Raymond

Google Maps shows the address a few hundred yards West of the actual location but the field is close to the road and easy to see.

Yes the other one is EBRC which is electric only. LFE allows all engine types: electric, nitro, gas, even turbine with waiver. LFE has AC power for charging batteries. Please feel free to print out the flier and pass around to others you know.

Looking forward to flying with you.

True but its really not an issue in June. Its a problem in December and January when the sun is low. But in June the sun is overhead. Its already much better than in January. It was a beautiful day to fly today at LFE.

Cool. I'll wear a good brim and practice now to keep it low.

Sounds great.
