Next up....swash plate links........The voodoo's plastic links have flat top which makes measuring the length quite easy. 94mm from flat top to flat top.

Will you be running it 4S or 6S, as I see the basic combo is for 4S with the 1400KV motor?

The swash plate comes with the balls installed. The manual calls for 5w40 oil to be placed on the shaft. I used tri-flow I had on hand. The voodoo comes with a block to ensure square swash while setting up the servos.

Sorry for the crappy pic of the head. Like other critical assemblies, the head comes assembled. You need to secure the pitch control arms to the blade grips.

head installed....note the swash drivers are at 90 degrees. No need to make any adjustments to the head that came assembled.

Also, please note the correct location for the canopy mount. The anti rotation bracket secures into two holes on the frame sides...one of which I originally had the canopy mounts located in.

Nice build so far Chad...

Are all of the pre-assembled bits have thread lock on them... I assume so but wanted to confirm.

I decided to go 4s power. The overlying theme of this heli is weight, or lack thereof. I almost went with the Protos motor on 6s power, but opted for the pyro 400-14 on 4s per Stefan's recommendation. Lighter motor and lighter batteries than 6s.

Thanks for the thread Chad.
Very quiet around here - how many are flying this bird in the rest of the world other than Germany?
How do you like the Edge blades on this bird?

Not too many people outside of Germany....that I'm aware of.

Maiden flight is today, so I don't have any feedback to date regarding the blades. marcosp has a voodoo 400 and flies the Edge 473 main blades. I bought edge blades after speaking with him and hearing his feedback.

Damn you Ray Those spin blades look good

The maiden today was rather boring (which is good). My gov decided not to work. I'm using the gov in the SK540 and it wouldn't work....which is odd as I had it working on the bench. Since the gov wasn't functioning properly I didn't bother making any adjustments to the FBL parameters.......just tootled around the flight line. This heli is whisper quiet.....can't wait to fly again once I get the gov sorted.

The red tips are on top of my list but did not see them in 465's.... Glad the flight went well, other than gov problem. Post some pics of that done bird.

Had a set on my Warp before I got rid of it and loved them... Seemed quicker yet more stable than the edge I had on it...

Does the Voodoo 400 kit come with any main blades? Looks like it has some black carbon tails is that right? What length and root thickness are they?
How would a Voodoo 600 be on 6s with 4400 packs?
