Just tried 1 flight on the Mavrikk... just not quick enough for me, kinda hate em, only good for fast, smooth, and autos. Many would like them I'm sure.

Edge - Nice, not quite as quick feeling as Align's, but I like better than Radix. Very good balance between all blade qualities. I will run these for the time being!

Today I did some flying with the Edge blades, they have a uniquely different shape, and all the weights and measures were as posted on the box, the blades were spot on for weight and balance.

I flew them on my Pro, if I had to compare them to another blade, I would say close to the radix, but this is after only a few sunset flights in the front yard, so my opinion may change

Anyone try the hyperion carbon blades? I just saw a set at the LHS for 38.99.

How do Eflite carbons compare in relation to the others here? My set is 22 grams a blade and are 325mm bolt to tip.

I have tried the Hyperion blades, but I did not get a set for this test. Been flying some of the cheap TW CF blades and they are doing pretty good. 3D Pro blades, I'll add some stats. later.

WOW! I tried a set of 3D Pro FG blades now on my FBL O550... and I have to say.. for $18 they really really fly nicely. Even FBL application! That's sure going to lower crash costs for me.

So what gives about the TP blades? What makes them rock so much?
I have a Pro (4S/scorp) with some cheap HK CF 24 gram (yikes!) 315 mm (hole to tip length) blades. Weight is 930 grams RTF and I have a Sport V3 head.
I'm thinking the TP blades since they are longer and lighter than my HK CF blades
they might work really well on my Pro. But since I have the sport head are they going to be too long? Better disk loading would be nice on my heli.

If I recall correctly the Sport and Pro are very close in rotor head diameter. Heck, they use the same feathering shaft. I think the TP337 blades fly really good because they have a nice aggressive undercamber airfoil, and are longer (lower disc loading and better auto performance).

The radix are realy short. If its the same with the 350mm. Those might fit a 450. I might know someone who has a pair. I will try to measure the lengt. if they come close to 335 i might try them (lets hope i wont get a tailblade/boom strike )

Not entirely sure, but I just put a set on my pro and they do indeed rock. For the first time the machine really felt locked in in the hover, and hitting the hold from a low hover showed way more inertia than the 325D Aligns.

Can't wait to fly them tomorrow in the daylight.

Guess this thread died, to bad, very informative work. I didn't find it till a few days ago and now I want to try a set of TP's, power of suggestion I figure.

I'm only a sport guy going through the basics on my way to more, but for now just ff and fff circuits, flips, rolls and turnarounds. I fly a clone, -8, 20c pack. I've tested all the blade sets I received with my used heli and there were differences. Woodies seemed soft, noisy. FG was just off, couldn't get comfortable and locked in. All took setup a balancing time which I was prepared for and did.

On a whim I bought a set of CF PRO 3D's in 325 and 335. First off , balanced within .05gr right off at 18 and 24 or so. CG was within a mil both ways. First flight had me convinced these were going to work for me. The 335's were even better. Much quieter and stiffer, tracking was perfect, easy to see, and they gave me a lot more confidence to go forward in both HS and type of maneuvers.

Now, even with six pairs of 3D's I'm going try the TP's

I have found the TP's to be the best compromise for 450's. I just went V-Bar on my Pro so I'll see how they fare in a FBL setup as well.

The TP are great blades, arguably the best... But the 3D Pro blades will take you far, and for alot less. I have a set on my pro now that has 200 flights, 3 crashes, I have cut off two small branches from a tree in my driveway, and they are still tracking good, have a nice clean pop. I really need to go back through the selection of blades and re-fly them all. I added the KBDD paddles and I need to see how each set handles with them!

3D Pro CF 335 is working very well with RJX/Mini Vbar. Really great bang for the buck.

Subscribed, I just didn't know it was a sticky because it followed a link but it has every right to be one. I'm in now.

I got out my blade sets again and took a better look and comparison with what has been pictured here already. I found one match for the Rototechs (double taper tip but black with white tips) and these have the LE about an 1/8'' more forward from the LE of the 3D CF's. I also got to thinking about what stage I was at when I tried them. I was basically in normal mode at 2500 HS or less. Keep in mind I have no mentor other you guys, I'm the lone heli guy around here:o

Now I fly at a HS of 2900 in stunt mode comfortably and these blades are completely different that before and way better for me on this heli that the 3D CF 325 set. The sinking in rotor wash is almost gone in slow ff where the 3D's it was a constant battle to the point of instinctively adding collective when 'that noise' starts. Forward flight is smooth and stable with no tendency to increase in speed. Or I should say it could easily and smoothly stay flying steady at 5 mph or 35 mph. Where the 3D's wanted to jump to 15 mph and the battle to maintain a steady speed during circuits would begin.

This was my lesser liked heli, which is now on par with my other mechanically tighter heli running the same equip but the 335 CF 3D's. I'm going to switch and see what sticks
