I seriously LMAO. The google search didn't include anything RC related that I saw.

The OP is asking for people's experience. Isn't that what these forums are for? Just saying...

I don't have any interesting facts...yet...I'm still such a noob.

OK, since this has quickly gone off topic...

Interesting Fact #1:
Hitting the ground at high speed with a heli often causes severe damage to the airframe,
sometimes leaving the helicopter in a non-airworthy state.

Regardless of the helicopter size, the main rotor of RC helicopter has a tip speed of around 200-220 mph or greater.

my motor on my 550 produces more watts than all of the light bulbs in my house, or my microwave.

What goes up must come down with heli's it is not always as intended it not the coming down that does the damage it is the sudden stop at the end.

Fact 1. Every 2 minutes somewhere in the world, someone asks a rc heli owner " how high can it go?"

Fact 2. It's been 4 hours since someone asked me "how high can it go?"

If your heli motor produces watts then find a way to plug it into your household grid ;}

FACT - RC Heli's can and do hook you like an addictive drug, that's why ppl are prepared to risk all of the above!

Many flyers surf the helifreak website in the middle of the night when they can't sleep?

What time is it right now in Australia?

And for some, the reason they can't sleep is that they can't stop surf helifreak.
