Hello,

Here is the signed driver file : http://update.mshbrain.com/software/signeddriver.zip

Download it, unzip it, then go to device manager, select update driver, then point it to the directory where you unzipped the signed driver, click ok and it should ask you if you want to install the signed driver.

I just did it on a freshly installed 8.1 laptop and was able to install it, and connect to a BRAIN with the BRAIN software.

Let me know. If it works ok then we'll include it in next release.

Do I need to have the iKon plugged in and powered first? Just tried to update the driver on my "unknown Device" here in the office and "Windows cannot find the driver" in the location where the unzipped files are.

Sorry if this is a really dumb question.

With the ikon connected to usb and powered up. Update the driver and manually browse to the location you unpacked the zip file. Make sure you unzip the file first.

Worked great for me.

Windows 8.1. Signed Driver.
Works fine.

Found a single problem:

I can freeze the PC and the appli doing this:

1) Brain connected (no demo mode)
Language is L1 (same as PC language)
Save configuration to a file (protos.mtr)
2) Ask Language L2
3) Stop an restart in Demo mode
3) Language is now L2 (PC is L1)
click Load file
Than a window ( to choose file) appears but it's empty (blank)
and PC freezes.

Old fart, I have Windows 8. Were do you put the driver. I have the driver and unzipped it.

I have no comp ports just some usb ports. I'm no computer wize but ready to smash this iKon and buy another BD 3SX that was easy to set up. Very upset and need help in dumb man terms.

My Windows does this auto install for drivers for usb's so I don't know the issue.

If I have to reconfigure my laptop just to run the software it will go by by and a different FBL will go on my bird.

Ya,,,,,, I'm pissed.

Finally get flying weather and my bird is down yet with looking like flying this weekend being out now.

IIRC you just right click on one of the 2 files you extracted and click "install". That's it

That was easy. Dam. Why did everyone talk about going to control panel and installing or turning off some signature deal.

heres a stupid question. What if my laptop that I rarely use other than to adjust my helis is on windows 7 ? I cant get the usb port to come up on this laptop and my phone is an iphone so that's out of the question regarding Bluetooth.

not on here ! im not happy at all about this. seems if your system isn't at par then the ikon is worthless..! my system update wont do anything with the driver.

Ok well the standard driver that comes with the ikon should work. I have 3 windows 7 devices and they all work fine with ikon.

chris. after updating my ikon software I have not been able to see any com port on my laptop. nor my wife's. im at the point of just getting rid of this one since I haven't even flown it and just go to another fbl system. my goblin700 has an ikon on it and flys like with no issues. I haven't had to do any adjustments to it. but this one just sitting on my 500 is really frustrating me. I need some help here guys . it wont let me update the driver why ?

So what you are saying is, currently your 700 works fine with the installed software and recognizes that Icon when you plugged in after the update? It could be the icon on the 500. I recently had this issue on new Icon. Sent the Icon back and got a new one. Just a suggestion
