Default Binding Blade Red Bull BO-105 CBcx

New pilot here, so this might be a dumb question but can I bind my Red Bull BO-105 CBcx to my DX6i radio?

I don't have one...but i had my CX2 bound to my DX8 and had no issues with it. So I would think you could do it.

Maybe not, I don't think you can bind the scout to.anything other than the factory radio, and I bet the red bull is the same way.

I thought the red bull was just basically a mCX2?

There is a full bind procedure in the manual with no mention of not being able to hook it to anything else...and it operates on 2.4ghz...soooooooo....I would set up the profile in ACRO mode and bind it.

9 Binding Procedure:
1. Disconnect the fl ight battery from the helicopter.
2. Power off the transmitter.
3. Connect the fl ight battery in the helicopter. The onboard control
unit LED fl ashes rapidly after 5 seconds.
4. Lower the throttle stick to the lowest position. Then, press in and
hold the right stick while powering on the transmitter.
5. Release the right stick after 2–3 seconds. The helicopter is bound
when both heli and transmitter LEDs are solid.
6. Disconnect the fl ight battery and power the transmitter off.

The Red Bull BO-105 CB CX is not a Spektrum 2.4 system. Therefore it will only bind to the included transmitter.

Maybe it is, I thought it was a 3ch like the Scout though. Give it a shot, not like you're going to hurt anything if it doesn't work.

THe red bull is a 3 channel. Tried with my daughter's scout and it would not bind but like Napoleon said, it won't hurt anything to try.

I seem to remember someone doing just that. Not sure where I found it at. Maybe try the search function on here. Didn't give a step by step of the procedure but I swear I did see it done.

Price target didn't allow for it.

i still dont get it?

i remember a while back my coworker bought this
Blade mCX RTF by BLADE (EFLH2200)http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...x-rtf-EFLH2200
it had a playsation type controller, and there was a bnf version too(now discontinued, http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/EFLH2280

it says it was dsm2 compatible "Compatible with all transmitters and modules equipped with Spektrum™ DSM2® technology"

the red bull is $69.99 http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...copter-BLH2800

the rtf mcx is $79.99, so that "price point" of the redbull was more important
than this working on controllers that all of your current customers who own a dsm2 compatible controller can use?

it doesnt make "cents" to me, but im just 1 customer, not a million "potential" or theoretical customers.

But the Red Bull Heli wasn't targeted at most people who already own a good dsm2 trans

I honestly dunno.

It must save on costly electronics to have them spend money (or outsource) another protocol.

there is also the licensing.

Oh... wait for this... wait for it...

Red Bull on a coax is such an OXymoron though...

boom boom? Stick to my day job?
