Default Set-ups?

Just wondering what set-ups you're going to use on this helicopter as far as motor/pipe/blades/radio gear/BEC/Regulator....

This is going to be my first nitro bird...and the first one I'm flying since last summer so just looking to get some info together so I can get a good set-up. Thanks

What I have prepared for this bird is :
Gyro Futaba 611
9451 Servos ( for all include throttle )
Rev Max Gov
149 DP
Assuming the Head is the same as the electric one, I have prepared all the upgrades for the rotor head.

What will you be using as an RX pack? If a regulator/step-down of somekind is needed, what will you be using? This is what I'm most unsure about. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

The electronics on my 30 are being moved to my Titan. My 30 will most likely be retired to be future crash parts for the Titan.... although I like the long run times so I might set up the 30 with some cheap electronics to keep it in the air. I will be pulling parts from my Titan for the new 600. My setup will be:

3-9252 cyclic servos
611 gyro w/9256
9254 throttle servo
Hyper 50 with Muscle pipe (although I may try the Hatori)
Multigov
V-Blades and Radix main blades
95mm V-blades for the tail
3600 4.8 volt Sanyo Nimh RX pack

Here's what I'm planning on running for now. Does it sound like a solid set-up?

DX7 (untill the new 9303 comes out. Can't wait until July to fly though)
OS 50 Hyper with Haitori JK muffler (maybe MP2 if I can't cough up the cash)
3 9252s for the swash
6100t/6100g for the tail
S3001 for throttle
Radix or Align blades head and tail
Duralite 4300 7.4v rx pack
Arizona Reg (or duralite reg)
TJ Pro

Rhino - I'm jealous man, already have yours. Still just on "the list" here.
Which do you prefer, 9252s or 9451s?

I am a beginner with Helicopters and to RC. I currently have a Trex 450 and a 600CF (which I will be putting in a scale fuselage) and will be getting a Nitro Pro as soon as they are available.

I know nothing about using a Nitro and would be grateful for some advice on what else I will need to buy with recommendations on makes/models as well as some basics on how to start (and stop), how to operate in terms of any tuning/ maintenance/ fueling etc etc.

Thanks for any help.

Manu, the beefy servo's arent required on the throttle, it was just what I had laying around. I will be fitting the Futaba Mini digital servo once its sent to me.

In fact, if you are planning to use a governor , I think you need to have the same type and speed for all the servoes. The reason is allowing the throttle to have the same speed with pitch. If the servo is slow, then the throttle is always left behind. That's my thought. But I agree, if I am not planning to use governor than I can use different type of servo for the throttle.

Yeah I have had my 600's for about 2 weeks, I am an ALIGN rep and will be using these machines at 3DM, so thats why the preproduction versions.
I received the pro versions,so you get the CF frames and torrque tube. BEC,Engine and RX Lipo will be included in the Combo versions.

rhino,
Can you tell much difference between the 9252's and the 9451's?

To be honest at this stage I can not. I think 3 x 9451's on a 50 sized machine is a bit excessive. I am running the 9252's at 6v as well as the 9451's, so this evens the specs out a bit more.

Cheers,
Ryan

Yo rhino,

How are you running 6V on the servos but still have the 611?

Have you just chucked the ALIGN step-down on between the rx and gyro/servo?
