Is there a new X50 coming soon ?
Tower hobbies has the X50 FBL only available and the kit went from 550$ to 391.56$ and all other version except electric have been removed from the catalogue.
Thunder tiger reps .... Something coming on the 50 nitro side ?

It's probably the snappies, funnest flying heli I've owned to date. Just zero complaints with mine. Totally love flying it! I certainly hope it's here to stay.

I called Tower and Thunder Tiger and confirmed this is discontinued. I have been planning to buy one but am now worried about parts. The guy at Thunder Tiger said they have parts now but you don't know for how long. He said a couple.months or longer. That is not that long! Wondering what to do. Buy or pass.

I went and bought one since I got the itch for nitro again. A lot of the parts are shared with the x50e (which I already own) so I am not too worry about part support.

The G4s were discontinued, then we got the G4.1.

Hopefully it's just a parts and geometry update and not a major redesign. I just put one of these together in April

Now if they overhaul the x50E or do it up like the E700.....then I'll be pretty dang excited.

The x50 was the odd one in their line up and don't think that designer works for TT any more. So i'm really hoping they just update it rather than doing something new. I really like mine, and its not even a year old yet.

I dont know what Tower is up to, but this kit went back up to $550 today! I guess I waited too long to pull the trigger.

My X50 kit arrived today and the box is for the X50e, confirmed it is the nitro kit after I opened the box. I wonder if this is the reason why they clearance it out, I may be wrong but would expect they have a different box for the nitro.

The box is the same for both. Look at the other side and you will see the nitro version.

Well the last of them are gone at Tower. I have been watching to see if the price would drop again and now it just says discontinued. So I have to assume an improved version is on the way

I asked about this on tts Facebook page. They confirmed it was discontinued with no word on a replacement.

I hope that they do have a replacement for the X50 line, but I hope even more that they keep parts for the current X50s as I have an X50B and an X50F.

I just noticed that Tower is showing the X50B with engine for $800. That's quite an increase in price considering the X50Bs sold for $420 and either the .53H or .56H list for $230 at Tower, for a total of $650 if the X50B and engine were bought separately. Tower does some strange things at times.

You can still get parts for helis that were discontinued years ago. I dont know of any manufacturers that drop parts for their helis at the same time they discontinue them. I am not worried.

Yeah, getting parts is not a problem. It is such a great flying light heli, you can't go wrong with this choice.
