Default 150X Spindle Replacement

Any advice on replacing the spindle on a 150X? I managed to remove the screw on one side, but I can’t remove the blade grip, and now I can’t remove the screw on the other side because the entire spindle rotates in place. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Everytime i replaced a feathering shaft i would have to press it out, up until i changed the bearings in the blade grips.

Curious what kinds of fixtures you use in this case - I used a wooden clamp as an improvised press to get things about 3/4 disassembled, but still managed to destroy a bearing in the process.

A c clamp; a socet; and a driver, i.e. something small enough to push shaft past bearing.

You mean like a socket from some sort of miniature socket set that’ll fit inside one of the blade grips?

I just did my spindle. One screw head was stripped. Turns out the tip of my smallest screw extractor just fit in side the stripped screw head. This let me get the screw out with a 1.3mm driver in the other screw head.

I finally got everything disassembled and rebuilt, I wrote-up the details at https://github.com/tshead/align-trex...ad-Disassembly in case anyone’s interested.
