That's great news, he's always been a big asset to the Freak community across so many different topics (RF, Taranis, Flight School, etc).

Health is wealth, hope your issues are behind you Archmage!

Same here. No learning curves to climb, questions to ask, or new products that I'm drooling over. I haven't wrenched a heli since my last build about a year ago. Yes, I can always work on my flying, but I'm currently at a plateau and I may need some inspiration to get to the "next level".

Yes, I am back on HF now and hope to be out flying again soon (giving the sim a good workout at this stage to regain skills).

Had medical issues that affected concentration and perception. Not a good recipe for safe operation of a 700. Hopefully mostly behind me now.

I haven't been flying lately, don't know if want to right now. Just working on home remodeling, guitar and riding my Harley. But for the last 6 years I had been flying almost daily. Feels strange not to go but I just haven't had the urge. Maybe someone should slap me and get me back on the path to slamming my heli around the sky.

Everyone would miss you.

However, if you do go on a trip go somewhere you can get Danish bacon. You will wonder what you have been eating all these years. Danish bacon is pretty rad.

Relax the bug will bite again, we all need a break from things that are intense from time to time.

I just googled it. Looks pretty good! While I cant get my hands on it here, I can make it myself. I've stopped buying bacon for the most part since I got into charcuterie. My fridge and freezer is packed with considerable amounts of my own home made bacon. I've even started making beef bacon! I'll have to go talk to my butcher and pick up a loin suitable for making this so called Danish bacon.

Not much of a joke.

Last time I checked, it was explicitly prohibited to fly most helicopters in Phoenix Metro cities, except Scottsdale which is surprisingly mum on the subject.

I have not been able to fly due to not having extra funds to get things needed to get birds back in the air! That is changing next week. I went kind of dead quite on here, dont have anything new to talk about. I am sure that is going to change as well...lol

prohibited sure, but probably with a city bylaw.

crimes are enforced by the state and result in a criminal record.

is that what is happening in your city?

Thats very cool if you can make your own bacon. I apologize I don't even know the cut to ask a butcher. But Danish Bacon is a very British thing as far as I'm concerned.

Its funny the differences in food across continents though. They can have the same name but be quite different. About 20 something years ago I ordered "chicken fried steak" in a little place in South West Texas. I spent at least 10 minutes wondering where the chicken was and if I had someone else's meal. I do love Texas.

Yes I came across several of your posts, what happened? If you are struggling with budget may I suggest a Blade 230S. Cheap and easy to fix. Your repair bills will be small so you can have something flying all the time if you need to save for a bigger heli crash. I know it is easier said than done as I am battling with a similar decision.

well I haven't been around for quite awhile had to take a year off own a lawncare business and now in full swing and this has been the worst may I think I have had in 31 years of doing this. I just need things to get to normal so I can see if I even remember how to fly.
